About Trey
I have 5 years of experience as a classroom 5-9 math teacher. I have training in math from elementary school through Calculus 3. I also have a degree in Humanities and can teach Social Studies, Art History and Art Theory.
I taught at All Souls Catholic School in Sanford teaching Math and Social Studies for 1 year (2013-2014)
I taught at St. Peter Catholic School in DeLand teaching Math and Church History for 4 years (2014-2018).
I enjoy teaching children and equipping them with the tools to be successful and responsible in their learning.
Professional teaching certification K-12 Humanities.
Taught middle school math for 5 years.

I would start with a preassessment on the topic the child is learning in class, then fill in any fundational skills that are lacking in order to understand the concept, then I would have the child describe their understanding of the concept they learned. From that description we will then work on the different aspects of the concept and skill being learned.
As a substitute teacher I have worked with students of all types. From kindergarten to seniors in high school. In full time teaching I mainly focused on the middle school years, yet worked day in and day out with students who needed accomodations.
