About Bernadette
I work with students of all ages. I enjoy helping students figure out an approach to problem solving that works for math and other disciplines.
When students start to realize they are able to do math and it's not as complex as they once thought
I was called to help people see what math brings to a graph. This is a conceptual understanding that is missed when a teacher teaches by the book.
I’m a certified teacher in Arizona and former teacher at Catalina foothill school district.

I like to check in with the student and ask them what troubles they have with math. Then we work through that and build their skills from the ground up.
Students that hate math
Go for a tutor that understands you may have some holes in your knowledge. Once those are addressed skill mastery sky rockets and conceptual understanding can begin to take shape. Math is a visual subject when taught with that in mind. It also helps student retain the knowledge.
We can remember a lot more from a picture than from an equation(s)
