Science is an an awesome subject! It helps explain and teach so much of our world. Chemistry helps us understand properties and what everything is made of. Physics helps us understand motion, behavior, energy, forces, and such. Biology teaches us about us. There is much science can offer. I love working with different subjects under science, including math. I have taken chemistry, physics, environmental science, biology, anatomy, psychology, and more as part of my associates degree in Psychology from Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago. I have tutored college and highschool students and have found creative ways to practice. I teach based on the response of my students and fellows. I learm about your strengths, our tutoring sessions will be tailored to what helps you!
I have always been told science is hard. At the end of my sessions, students have found certain topics and lessons easier to understand. I am far from a teacher, but I like to clarify what the teachers teach in their classrooms. I love hear the "I get it now," from those whom I help. Science is as difficult as any other subject, but it's loads of fun to learn!
I have tutored in my college, specifically in for Chemistry. During highschool, I also tutored for Chemistry, biology, and physics.
On my free time, I babysit and help out with any homework. The kids I babysit are between the ages of 7-10, but I have tutored many students that are older.

I like to work in 30 minutes increments. In my first tutoring session, I like to ask the student what their preferred way of learning is: visual, audible, or being active. I follow up with questions about what they struggle most with, what they find is easy, what distracts them. It's better for me so I can bring proper materials and create a distraction-free zone.
Thirty minutes is also considered the ideal time to study. For every 30 minutes of studying, there should be a 5-10 minute break. Long studying time causes short-term memory, while multiple study sessions over a couple of days can help retain more information. It is less exhausting as well.
