About Marissa
Hi, my name is Marissa Honore, I am based in Chicago, IL and I will work one on one with your child to help them excel and succeed. I am a high school graduate with one year of college at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with an International Baccalaurreate degree. I scored high marks in classes such as mathematics, business studies, english, computer science, physics, and spanish. I have been tutoring for a couple of months now and just love working with children to help them succeed.
I got started teaching after spending four years of high school as a tutor for elementary school students within my private school. Helping them became a passion for me.
I have a high school degree as well as an international baccalaureate degree from the British International School of Chicago.

When I start working with a new student, I make sure to pay careful attention to their preferred learning style as that is what will make them the most engaged with lessons. I also talk to the parents to understand where the student might struggle as well as hearing it from the student themself.
Mostly high school and middle school students, however I can also tutor elementary schol students.
