About Caitlyn
For most of my educational experience, I was bored out of my mind. That makes learning incredibly difficult. My tutoring method aims to teach while curating a genuine interest in the material within the student. My teaching experience has been mostly tutoring (about 5 years), however, I have also been a teaching assistant in lab and lecture settings (about 2 years).
For high school students aiming to pass AP exams, I am an especially good choice. During high school, I took 8 AP exams (and passed them all). In junior year, I was awarded the AP Scholar with Honors award, and in senior year, I was awarded the AP Scholar with Distinction award. I know how these tests work and can teach you how to score well. Because of AP exams, I was able to finish my bachelor's degree in 3 years.
I have just finished my first year (out of 5) in a Ph.D. program in chemistry at Emory University. For the three years that I was working to earn my BS in Chemistry (minor in biology) from Ball State University, I tutored college and high school-level students in chemistry, calculus, and biology.
