About Robert
My name is Bob Brisson and I am currently an engineer working for the Connecticut Department of Transportation. My areas of expertise are math and science, as I have recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. My real-world experience outside of the classroom sets me aside from traditional tutors, however, I am not too far removed from the classroom.
Working for the state at the Connecticut Department of Transportation allows me to focus solely on the public's best interest instead of rushing to complete a project in time or in within budget. As a tutor, being patient, energetic, and friendly are some of the best qualities one can exhibit. I believe that learning should be taught from an attitude that rewards learning and promotes a genuine interest in the subject.
I have completed my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering in May 2019. At UMass, I have completed several advanced math, science, and engineering courses. After one year of being removed from college, I completed my Fundamentals of Engineering exam allowing me to become an Engineer in Training.

I like to start off by getting to know the new student and understanding how the student best learns in order to cater to their learning strengths. After, I find out what are the students weak and strong points within the subject and work on creating exercises to improve the weak points while maintaining growth with the strong points.
