About Declan
I am a recently graduated high school student from Etiwanda High School and am going to attend the University of California, San Diego this Fall of 2023. I have 2+ years of tutoring experience, working at both Mathnasium of Rancho Cucamonga as a math instructor and also as a private math tutor for elementary school children. In these experiences, I have worked with kindergarteners all the way to high schoolers of all skill levels, and I have learned how to not only provide them with the necessary help that they need but to do so in a way that caters to each student individually. Also, I do try to keep in mind that these students are still kids and are taking extra time out of their day to improve their knowledge, so while I have to keep them focused most of the time, I also try to have casual conversations with them to connect with them and take a small mind break at times. In addition, I always plan to add some sort of fun or interactive section of each tutoring session to make their learning enjoyable and not all strict learning.
