About Tapanga
My interest in teaching mathematics came from the experience of helping others. I have always enjoyed learning math, and I realized that I also like helping other people learn math, especially those that struggle with it or those who have a disliking for it. I plan for both my students and I to learn together and from one another. I feel that it is important for me to stay current and deepen my understanding of mathematics and mathematics education. My learning will continue from my experiences and interactions of others and how I learned. I am always willing to learn new ways and styles, which will benefit my students learning. By interacting with others they will learn how to share their ideas, accept others points of view and learn how to develop relationships, which is a very important part of life that will help them in the future. I wish to help them gain lots of new information, positive attitudes about learning, gain confidence, all while having an open mind to others and what they have to say.
I started out helping with the Boys and Girls club after school, during middle school and my passion just started to grow.
