About Liam
I have had experience tutoring other math students at Mira Costa High School, in Manhattan Beach, California. I have been in an accelerated math program and track since sixth grade, and tutor in subjects ranging from elementary school math through algebra 2.
I started helping peers in my class at the same math level, which eventually progressed into tutoring them off campus and assisting them with any concerns or areas of trouble in precalculus.
I am currently going into junior year of high school. I have taken advanced math for years, and have worked in volunteering with younger kids at the elementary school I attended, helping them with homework and keeping them company. I work well with kids, I am very patient, and I teach great work ethics and study habits.

I ask for any problem sets, worksheets, or tasks that students have trouble with prior to the session so that I can review them and point out common errors on problems that may be similar. I first start with the problems the student already is having issues with, then move on to the rest of their work.
I have mainly worked with students from Algebra 1 through Algebra 2.
Look for someone whom you can relate to, is easy to work with, and does not get frustrated or mad at you for making mistakes. It's okay to not understand something, with hard work, effort, and practice everything will become easier.
When a senior in my class was able to increase their GPA with a higher grade in math, helping with college admissions.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I believe that students should always use their own resources beforehand so that they build independence and problem-solving skills early on. However, there is nothing ever wrong with asking a teacher for help, and hopefully, the teacher can help them understand what they can work on, and what they already have great skill in.
