About Kayla
I am a College student at Alabama State University going into my senior year as a Biomedical Engineering major. Math is one of my favorite subjects and I enjoy helping others in understanding and comprehending the basics of Algebra, calculus, and other common math subjects!
I enjoy passing on knowledge and helping others succeed. I enjoy knowing that the knowledge that i pass on can help a student excel in their future!
I do not have any formal training in the realm of being a math tutor. However, I do have experience with helping fellow classmates and friends understand and complete math related assignments. I simply have a passion for math and a passion for teaching and helping others.

I would first begin by having a student attempt a math problem in the scope that they are struggling with. Once they begin working the problem i will assess where they are struggling or need better understanding. After this i would then walk the student through the problem step by step in an interactive mannor. Asking them questions through each step to ensure that they are engaged and understand why each step is being made. After working through a few questions with the student i will then ask them to work a few similar problems, providing guidance along the way. Lastly, once the student seems to be working the problems with little to no guidance I will ask them to work one by themselves and check their work and procced as necessary.
The students that I have worked with range from Classmate, teammates, and friends to younger family members and friends. I am comfortable working with elementary students, college student and everything inbetween!
