About Michael
Mosca’s Mathematics is a home-based company that offers tutoring services for a wide variety of math subjects. Mosca’s Mathematics was founded by Michael Mosca while pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University. Utilizing a passion for mathematics, Mosca has the patience and know-how to teach mathematics to novice students in a way they understand. With a sturdy knowledge in subjects such as algebra or calculus, all the way to differential equations and thermal fluids Mosca stands up to the challenge of assisting the most novice of students. Mosca’s Mathematics turns complete gibberish into plain English.
I have completed a minor in Mathematics, and I am finishing my Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University. I have a sturdy understanding of the all the rigorous courses throughout the engineering curriculum. Using my knowledge, I have tutored students in the subjects of algebra, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and other higher mathematic subjects. I retain the patience to work with even the most challenged students, and assist them to a path of success in their classes.

First, accessing what aspects of the subject the students does or does not understand. Then, we focus on the most basic aspect of the subject; even if the student believe they understand that area. Instilling the knowledge of conceptual theory rather than 'plug and chug' is imperative to the success of the student. By developing a study base, we work our way up the levels of the curriculum making sure not to move to fast for the student to keep up.
