About Ingrid
I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in biology at San Diego State University. I am in my junior year, so I have background in chemistry, biology, psychology, and physics. I have a great passion for science, math and love the idea of sharing knowledge. I recently did a Science Teacher Crash Course in which I got the opportunity to observe high school teachers and discuss with them what teaching teenagers is like. I gained a new perspective that gave me a great appreciation for teachers everywhere. I believe my patience and ability to match a student’s pace makes me an ideal tutor because I am able to adapt to each student’s different learning style. I have tutored peers in the past in chemistry which is how I realized that I enjoy teaching and explaining concepts to others in a way that they fully comprehend the material. Additionally, empathy is a significant trait that I value and plan on sharing with my students. My focus is to give students a safe space to ask questions that I will answer to the best of my abilities.
