About Joy
I am a veteran elementary public school teacher with Connecticut teaching certification for grades Pre-K through 8th. I have just completed my 36th school year in the same school system in Hartford County. I have taught: K to Grade 1 transition, Grades 3, 4 and 5. My emphasis has been in teaching Grade 3 traditional and Grade 3 STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), and, currently, Grade 4 STEM.
I have an M. S. in Reading from C. C. S. U., and a M. A. L. S. in Humanities from Wesleyan University.
