About Lesslie
Hi, I am Lesslie, I graduated with my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland. I moved to Texas and lived there for a year. In Texas I had the opportunity to work with 4 families. What I love about tutoring is that you can really affect the way a student feels about a subject, when they start understanding more about the subject, they will want to learn more. My goal while tutoring in Math is to get back my students' confidence in their ability to succeed in Math. I will usually work with the curriculum the students are using in their school and before we start working in any homework, we go over the relevant topics for the homework and I always try to connect the topic with something practical they will remember. I was born and raised in Ecuador. While tutoring my students in Spanish I help them pronounce words correctly and teach phrases that are actually used in daily conversations since Spanish is my native language. Hope to hear from you.
