About Amy
Hello! I am a former music teacher now youth pastor. I am skilled in multiple subjects such as: math (up to advanced algebra), basic chemistry, English, and study skills. I have been tutoring students for 8 years and have always been able to help students achieve more academically. I enjoy teaching students in ways whatever way is necessary for them to understand because not all teachers teach in understandable ways sometimes because of their large class sizes and limited time.
I have had a passion for teaching since high school and then studied teaching in college before going into ministry.
I am a trained music teacher and have been studying work with youth as I continue in my Master’s. I have learned to teach according to each students style and need and not just according to textbook answers.

I typically find out what a student is working on, what they have struggled with and then where they need to be. This way a student can eventually not need me anymore because they have learned the skills needed to keep going in their academics.
I have worked with student I elementary, middle, and high school. Most of the students struggled with math or science but I have also helped students in reading, especially for those who speak a different language at home.
