I ask to see their previous work and tests. Then I go through each paper one by one and see if we can correct them together. I compile all the subjects that the students is struggling with and set up a lesson for the next session to see tackle the problem topics. Then I give them homework specifically to work on those topics so that they are no longer an issue.
