About Nidgel

Mathematics is the fundamental language of the universe. It is my pleasure and duty to pass on this language to the next generation of bright minds.

I have practiced mathematics coherently since I was in grade school. This practice turned into a passion in college and eventually became the sixth sense for me by the time I graduated.

My qualifications range from high school and into the workforce. I have completed courses from AP Calculus to Ordinary Differential equations through college. I graduated college with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Using my engineering degree, I can relate mathematics to everyday instances. If someone can understand how math work in everyday situations, they can understand how it works on paper. That is the basis of my practice.

Teaching came naturally to me as I was the eldest of 2 children. My younger sister always had trouble with her math homework, so I would always tutor her after school. I also helped her study for her exams. Teaching her reinforced my foundation of mathematics. This experience transitioned into a Math Teaching Assistant role. From there, it led to a career in engineering.

About the lesson

Each student is different, thus each process is different. One consistent practice I do that allows me to understand a student's needs is taking a look at their past-graded quizzes and tests. A test and/or quiz is a student's genuine effort of attempting to solve a problem by their own methods. by analyzing their work, I can understand the methods a student uses when they have no help available.

I have worked with students ranging from elementary school to college.

Find a teacher that helps curate a custom methodology for how to solve problems. Don't just seek the answers.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
"Why?" is the most important question to ask.

Example: "Why is the slope of y = 3x+8 greater than that of y = 2x+39 ?"
