About David

Throughout my late high school and early college career, I have been consistently tutoring students in every level of mathematics from geometry to calculus, and have seen fantastic results. Being a mechanical engineering major at school, I am constantly reminded of the lessons that I teach others, and my math skills remain sharp the entire year. Whether a standardized test score needs improvement, or just a simple lesson is required to enhance basic arithmetic, I can assure that my tutoring can be of assistance.

I love helping students realize how smart they are! Everyone I've tutored has seen great success not only in their grades, but in their self esteem. I've had incredible professors and teachers throughout my academic career that I aim to model myself after, so that I may provide students with comfort, knowledge, and most importantly, confidence. I'm very outgoing, and tend to easily and quickly build positive relationships with the students I tutor, which allows them to feel comfortable and eager to come to sessions. Showing students their true potentials is something that I love and will always continue to do.

I picked up a few tutoring jobs of geometry and algebra my junior year of high school. From there, I was recommended to many other students, and began to tutor every day senior year.

I have taken every level of math from basic algebra up to multi variable calculus / differential equations / linear algebra. Throughout high school, I completed every AP level math class offered, and continued with honors math courses in my first year at the Universiry of Pittsburgh. Additionally, as a mechanical engineering major, I utilize my core math knowledge in every class I take, which ensures my math skills are always sharpened.

About the lesson

Usually I like to figure out the specific help my student needs by seeing what problems he/she is capable of, or by simply asking what they personally feel could use some improvement in. Within a single session I can always get a strong sense of where a student needs assistance, and target these areas one at a time to not overwhelm my student.
