About Fady

I have demonstrated a deep understanding of math concepts through my high school career. I have earned straight A's in my math classes. I also got perfect scores on the Math section of the SAT (800) and AP Calculus BC (5). I have tutored my classmates in STEM subjects they are struggling with. Since I am passionate about STEM, I provided superior effective tutoring in math and science. Many times, I would go early to school and use that time for tutoring and helping other students. I provided explanations for complex ideas and concepts. Usually, in my explanation, I relate the topics to real-life examples and prove approaches and hypotheses using basic knowledge that my classmates already have.

The incentive behind the tutoring I provide is the desire to make the world a better place. When I tutor someone, he or she will understand the topic and can help others who still need help. This makes a chain of providing help, and what I did for one student may bring a great impact on the whole world. Understanding complex academic concepts and being able to explain them is a great talent I have, and I love for everyone to benefit from it. Not only do I care about myself, but I also care about others.

I started helping my classmates and my friends in STEM courses from the time I was a high school sophomore. I started doing so when I realized that many people don't fully understand a topic that I easily understand in detail. I feel obligated to help them.

I study at Salem High School. I am also enrolled in Roanoke Valley Governor's School for Science and Technology (RVGS), a program designed for students excelling at STEM. I have taken Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus and Trigonometry, and Calculus I and Calculus II (in a year-long accelerated class) during my high school career. Right now, I am in multivariable calculus at RVGS.

About the lesson

I start by introducing myself and give the student an opportunity to do the same. Then, I ask the student what he or she is struggling with. This allows me to provide focused tutoring based on the student's needs.

I earned all A's in my math courses, a perfect score on the Math section of the SAT (800), and a perfect score on the AP Calculus BC exam (5).
