About Bryce

Personalized math help in any Algebra or Calculus 1 class. I have years of expereince tutoring both of these sujects and am eager to help you excel in your math classes. I am a senior at UC San Diego and use advanced math and Calculus daily for my Econmics major.

I started tutoring friends that were taking Calculus courses in college and when I got great feedback and helped friends understand the material and do well on exams, I started to post ads on craigslist for tutoring.

I have taken pre-algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Functions, Statistics, and Trigonometry, Math tools for Economists, Econometrics, Pre-calculus, Calculus 1,2, & 3, and about 15 upper division Economics courses that frequently use Calculus to explain the models we work with.

About the lesson

I usually ask how familiar they are with the material they are currently working on and also how they have done in their past math classes and what their strengths and weaknesses are.

I have worked with mostly college students taking Calculus, but I have also tutored high school students in Pre-calculus and Algebra courses.

I would advise them to try out different teachers to see which one they can really connect with and wait for a teacher that has the patience to work with them through tough sections and the dilligence to find a way for them to more easily understand the concepts.

Here in San Diego, there was recently a large swell of waves that hit the coasts and I had the pleasure of seeing some great surfers surf on massive waves alongside my friends and family.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should think about what their weakest and strongest areas are so that the teacher can have a clear map of the students understanding so that they can ask the right questions and alleviate some of the student's weaker areas.
