About Angela

Multi-Subject Tutor I have an extensive background in American History along with most general studies.

I'm a past teacher. I prefer one on one or small group teaching. This allows each student to get a more in depth and specialized learning experience targeted to personal learning techniques. Each student is unique and deserves to learn at their speed and style.

I've worked within the private school system and am an instructor with an international seminary as needed.

I'm teacher motivated and have always enjoyed teaching others even as a child. I've also had other careers, varying levels from basic employment to high level management adding real life experience. My PhD in Biblical Studies opened the door for me to pursue teaching in a manner that allowed me to teach students not only subject matter but it's usage and need in their future. It also allowed me the freedom to use techniques and fun activities that increase retention. I am not particularly a fan of the structure and limitations of the public school system as I believe students receive a very basic education without any consideration for their personal needs.

PhD in Biblical studies and psychology.

Experienced with students K-12 in all subjects.

10 yrs private and spiritual education.

About the lesson

Initial needs consultation. Personality observation. Compatibility. Initial skill evaluation. I like to cover the student's current abilities and knowledge in the subject. Enhance or improve and strengthen current levels before continuing into new material.

I pride myself for having worked with K-12, college, and post-graduate students. I have experience with learning disabilities, homeschooling, and am still mastering teaching via internet, so far I seem to function well. I also have students that learn strictly through email and students outside of the United States. I enjoy working with students that are interested in subjects that are not school related but personal interest.

Expect to learn more information than you may need for your situation. I am a firm believer that knowledge is power and that their is no such thing as being over educated. I do scale the amount of information dependent on a student's needs, abilities, interests, and hunger for knowledge.

Currently I am following governmental, law, and Constitutional issues in current events. Including research of historical documents supporting (or not) the spirit of laws.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It is important that there is a personality comparability between student and teacher. The student will gain more knowledge in a comfortable relationship. Questions and interactions prior to study are important.
