About Wilson
I've taught at multiple afterschool type programs voluntarily and paid. They were targeted towards elementary school (K-5) but working with older students shouldn't be a problem.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Finance so I'm definitely more on the quantitative side. I did well during my time at primary school and even passed AP Calculus with the highest score, 5.
My approach when teaching is definitely one of patience and progressive. I made sure students understand the concept at hand before moving to more complex topics as they usually build on top of another. I encourage students to think independently and I'm only there for guidance.
Being a first generation child as well as the first to attend university, education is extremely important to me. Growing up I was forced to be very independent because they couldn't help me in my academics.
I like being able to teach and help students progress in their development both intellectually and mentally.
