About Sean
With 6 years of professional mentoring and tutoring at multiple institutions of higher education, I look forward to helping my students not only develop mastery of the subjects I teach, but also achieve their life goals. Be it scoring high enough on a standardized test to get into a dream program, writing a compelling personal statement or college application, or creating a game plan for graduate or undergraduate admissions, my personal experiences and time spent advising my peers throughout college and into medical school will enable me to help you succeed. I graduated from University of Miami in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Health Management and Policy, and have since gone on to complete the first of four years at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. My relevant work experience includes tutoring high school level algebra and geometry to private clients during grades 11 and 12. Additionally, I served for three years as a First Year Fellow at the University of Miami, working as a peer mentor to assist students in making the academic transition to college. In this role, I helped freshman develop study and organizational skills, write cover letters and applications to internships and create plans to become competitive applicants to various different graduate programs. Currently, I serve as a peer mentor, assisting Northwestern undergrads through the entirety of the medical school application process, including helping to prepare for the MCAT. Lastly, as a student leader, I have given multiple presentations virtually, and am proficient at Microsoft Teams, Google classroom and Zoom. I have been extremely fortunate to have many excellent teachers and mentors that have supported me to achieve my goals and try to pay that forward by teaching and mentoring others.
