About Pej

I'm personable and have multiple teaching methods ranging from pop and performance based all the way to the more intense and high paced Suzuki Method.

I started teaching in Washington DC simultanious to my final quarter of studies with UC Davis. I was hired by a mediary company called Learn Now Music. I build some experience and my love grew and I decided to bring that experience back to Northern California in 2013 and over the next nine years I built a full clientale between the bay area and Sacramento. I transitioned to a full online system during the Pandemic and have slowly resumed in person lessons at the start of 2022.

I have been a vocalist since the age of 4 and studied Music Orchestration, Performance, and have my Bachelors of Arts in music with focus on theory from UC Davis. I have over fifteen years of experience with piano and guitar as well.

About the lesson

I analyze the student's learning style as well as their strengths and weaknesses during the first lesson or trial lesson. I then put together a customized lesson plan with the student or parents of the student and I keep an open dialogue to ensure that the short term and longterm goals are being focused on. That consists of timed rehearsals, communication of expectations with parents or student themselves as well as focusing on Recitals or concerts if that is agreed upon during the analysis phase of the lessons.

I've had numerous vocal students of many genres ranging from pop to classical and Jazz.

I've taught all ages from 4 to 75 years old.

I have plenty of piano and guitar students as well.

approaching any new endeavor with love and patience. The discipline will come if those two elements are remembered and implemented.

I was able to host a recital for several students of mine in a concert form in 2019 right before the pandemic. Through the online era I have helped students connect to form musical groups and bands, which is the ultimate treat.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
No question is truly a bad one. But not asking what you want to ask would be the worst move as music is a language of unity and my classes are judgment free and I work to turn your imagination and curiosity into a reality. Of course the hope is for that imagination to grow with your experience.

I charge $45 per 30 minute in person lesson and I offer 45 and 60 minute lessons as well at adjusted fee.

I offer online lessons at a rate of $40 per 30 mins as well. 45 and 60 min lessons are available at a adjusted fee.
