About Michelle

The right choice for a sound education

The Yunique music school provides a complete music education for children 6 to 12 years of age. My specialties are flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, trombone and, my personal favorite the recorder!

This summer I have been a busy bee preparing a fantastic, engaging and successful remote learning program for my music students utilizing the Yunique method book, pre-recorded videos and zoom meetings!

now that learning is happening at home we have realized some amazing benefits! Follow Yunique Music school on Facebook to see what I mean

I have been teaching instrumental music for over 20 years and now that the world is turned upside down it feels brand new again. I never knew how much I would enjoy making tutorial videos and using technology in new and different ways. And of course my favorite thing is being the teacher of one of kids' most loved subjects.

MA in music education from Maryland university

About the lesson

What's my typical process or what's my new process?!

nothing is typical in our world anymore! but what I can say that I have done in the past and will continue to do in the future is to meet the student where they are and find out what it is that they need and go forward from there.

Perfect! Michelle is an amazing teacher. She combines fun with excellent instruction. My daughter has improved so much in less than a year we have been with Michelle. And Michelle seems to play every instrument quite well. My daughter looks forward to practicing and going to lessons, thanks to Yunique Music!!

Yunique Music has taught my older daughter how to enjoy making music. When went into lockdown, Michelle went quickly into continuing with lessons right there in my living room over Zoom AND introduced my younger daughter to the recorder.
