About Luz Alina
My business delivers high-quality music education through piano, ukulele, and vocal training, in-person lessons, an annual recital with professional videography, and access to a community event venue. These offerings ensure a comprehensive, enriching musical experience.
As a certified bilingual music teacher, I provide customized music education—including piano, vocal training, and creative movement—at reasonable rates, either in my studio or at your home. I also modify lessons for children with special needs to ensure every student can thrive.
I got started teaching as a singer and actress, and majored in Drama at the LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and Music and Art in NYC. It was then that I began a career as a Recording Artist for 2nd Estate Productions and Cutting Records Inc., singing R&B and Dance, House, and Classical music genres. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in music, a minor in Dance from SUNY at Stony Brook University in 2007, and an MS in Education - Curriculum Studies. Teaching Literacy & Leadership from Hofstra University in 2012. I maintain a dual certification in Music and an Advanced Bilingual Education Certificate. At my studio, I teach voice and intermediate piano, and creative movement for ages 4 and up. Much of my undergraduate work came to be in collaboration with 2nd Estate Productions. As Director & Program Facilitator for 2nd Estate Productions, she realized how every nook and cranny is the result of a collaborative interplay of ideas about musical sound, acting, and movement, and support from the community. I love teaching!

Details
Standard pricing systems for my voice lessons at the convenience of their own homes are $40 a half hour for a child ages 5 to 17 years of age and $110 an hour for an adult. The customer needs or wants my business satisfies are vocal performance and piano training, audition preparation, NYSSMA preparation and the convenience of mobility to their homes.
