About JUDY

I help students become very comfortable learning to paint and offer them and environment that is relaxed, accepting, and supportive, while instructing a variety of ways to accomplish different steps of the painting process. Teaching is fun, learning should be too.

I love acrylic paint and mixing colors and helping people understand what can be accomplished. Through their eyes, I help them see.

I love helping people find their personal wells of their creative spirits. Everyone has them and when they are opened, it is so much fun to help them explore their own creative spirit.

Graduate of California College of The Arts with a BFA, teaching credential from San Francisco State University, 35 years of painting signs, murals, graphic design, and color consultation as JG Signs & Designs, started Brush & Cork in 2014, and am currently created fine art through my home studio and teaching private lessons.

About the lesson

I like to spend some time getting to know my student and finding out what they have created and what they intend to get out of lessons. I love to see what, if anything they have painted, what artists they like and are influenced by and what they enjoy about painting.

Then we can sit down and paint together after I understand what their expectations are and I can offer guidance and direction as they explore where they want to go with the process.
