About Anthony

I offer a well-rounded approach to learning the piano, blending traditional note reading with the development of a strong ear for melody, harmony, and rhythm. My students not only learn to play from sheet music but also gain the ability to play by ear, giving them greater flexibility and confidence in their musical abilities. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, my lessons are tailored to meet your goals and enhance your overall musicianship across all genres including jazz, blues, gospel, and pop and classical music.

I am a classically trained pianist and have furthered my studies with accomplished pianists and jazz musicians at the New England Conservatory of Music and Berklee College of Music.

About the lesson

I begin with an intake focusing on ear training and an assessment of the student's theory and technique level. From there, I tailor exercises in melody, harmony, and rhythm to their skill level, and we explore music in their desired genre to create a personalized learning experience.

I have worked with a diverse range of students, from beginners taking their first steps in piano to advanced musicians looking to refine their technique and express their creativity. I've worked with students of all ages and all skill levels.

My students include those interested in blues, R&B, jazz enthusiasts, and individuals who simply want to explore their musical interests. I tailor my approach to each student's unique goals and skill level to provide a personalized and effective learning experience.
