About William
Welcome to piano class, where I strive to provide exceptional instruction to individuals of all ages and experience levels. My beginner-friendly approach emphasizes the importance of practice to achieve proficiency in traditional teaching methods.
I'm a full-time professional musician near Austin, TX. I've been playing piano, guitar, and drums for 40 years. I started learning music on the violin and piano at 8 years old. Once I turned 11, I picked up the guitar. At 20, I started learning drums as well! These have been my primary instruments ever since. I perform over 130 shows a year all over the country. I started teaching online lessons 3 years ago and love the diversity of students I get to work with now!
I believe that learning an instrument should be a fun and rewarding experience, which is why I incorporate popular music into our curriculum. This approach not only keeps students engaged but also motivates them to continue their musical journey.
As a dedicated instructor, I have 13 years of teaching experience and am committed to helping students develop essential skills such as sight-reading, music theory, ear training, and improvisation. My personalized teaching style allows students to learn at their own pace and focus on areas they find challenging.
I encourage parents or guardians to participate in the learning process by attending online lessons with their children or providing support at home through regular practice sessions. With dedication and perseverance, I am confident that each student can reach their full potential in this wonderful art form.
