About Maria d

I am a European Portuguese native and since I moved to Houston- TX I have taught European Portuguese to students in classes, one-on-one, and online. I have a master’s degree in Education, and I am a certified online instructor.

I am positive that I will help you get the results you need! I am Enthusiastic, Patient, and my teaching is Effective. I make learning Portuguese fun as we explore the language and culture through activities tailored to your specific needs.

As a trained teacher and because I love to teach, I fully understand the difficulties of my

students and they advance rapidly in their Portuguese learning with great results. Also, I

provide materials adapted to the needs of each student, so our lessons will be fun and easy!

Almost forgot, I love to talk about Portuguese culture, so expect to learn idiomatic

expressions used in the spoken language!

A little bit about me! I am from Portugal, I worked there as an elementary teacher, then I

took a master’s degree in School Administration from the Universidade de Ciências de Lisboa, and I became an Assistant Principal. I moved to Houston Texas in 2010, and since then I have been teaching students from all over the world for companies, universities, Air Force, hospitals, and private students.
