About Megan

I am a psychology major interested in neuroscience. I am published as an undergraduate! I am committed to sharing my passion for psychology. I have also taken quite a few courses in biology, chemistry, and philosophy.

I first began teaching in high school as a student assistant for individuals with learning disabilities. While in college I took up several teaching assistant positions. This past year I have started tutoring fellow students through the university. I also tutor psychology students as a psychology fellow.

I am a graduating senior majoring in psychology with a concentration in neuroscience. I'm receiving a bachelor of science, therefore have taken a good deal of biology and chemistry classes. I've also had a great deal of research experience.

About the lesson

I will ask the student what they would like to review before each session. Once that is determined I will prepare several ways we can go over the trouble area. I am adamant about helping the student without revealing answers directly. After each session we will review everything we talked about.

I have tutored students ranging from ages 14-21.

As a student I understand the learning curve that comes with learning a new subject. I am also aware of different types of learning. Speaking to someone closer to your age is less intimidating and can help the information digest better.

Recently I was able to teach children from ages 5-12 how to play golf. I am a varsity golfer for the university and took pride in building the next generation of golfers.

Details

For each 30 minute session I charge $35. This is for standard in person tutoring sessions. For all remote tutoring sessions I will charge $20 for 30 minutes.
