About Jennika
I am a 6th year PhD candidate for the Applied Psychological Sciences program at Old Dominion University. I am ABD (all but dissertation) and I have my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Psychology. I am currently working on my dissertation, which investigates the transgenerational cycle of trauma within families. My research specializes in developmental traumatology, but I am qualified to tutor the majority of psychological concepts.
I have 2 years experience as the instructor of record for Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences. Prior to that, I was a graduate teaching assistant for both Statistics as well as Research Methods for Psychology.
My teaching style is that of a mentor who is here to guide you through the concepts. I encourage you to interact with the material and allow me to assist with any obstacles along the way.
I love helping students understand challenging material. I understand what it’s like to be frustrated and overwhelmed as a student, and so I feel I can meet you where you are and guide you to where you need to be.
I am ABD (all but dissertation) in my PhD program. I have my Masters and Bachelors of Science in Psychology and I have been teaching for the previous 5 years, 2 of which I acted as the instructor of record at the university level.
