About Julie

My name is Julie Kessler. I have been an educator for over 30 years, have taught diverse students with diverse learning needs and abilities at various ages and across multiple educational settings. I currently teach at Temple University as professor of instruction in our teacher preparation programs in special education to prepare future special educators. My specific area of expertise and passion is in literacy interventions and supports in order to improve reading achievement.

I enjoy providing accommodations, supports, and mutliple learning pathways in order to support my students to achieve success in any areas in which they face challenges. I particualrly enjoy meeting with families and working as a team in order to provide consistency in instructional decision-making and implementation. I especially enjoy being part of my students' growth and devlopment over time!
