About Kandi

I customize my lessons around my students' goals and aspirations. Being an instructor means climbing with my students on their individual journeys and pushing them as far as they want to go in music.

I enjoy working with both children and adults. I like to get to know my students and work with them based on their personal goals.

I have volunteered to work with students in schools to gain experience teaching in an individual and group setting.

My BS in Music from Towson University was focused on clarinet. I worked with public and private schools (K-12) in Maryland to teach students the aesthetics of the instrument and work through challenging ensemble and assessment music.

About the lesson

Depending on their skill level, I work with the student based on their needs and goals. Regardless of skill, I work on technique and help students through their school music, standard repertoire, and/or music that interests them.

I've worked with children as young as 6 to adults as old as 25.

Have fun. Lessons are not just for improving your skills as a clarinetist, but learning what you like about music and clarinet performance.

I had the opportunity to work with high school students preparing for their county adjudication. It was a great experience working with students of different skill levels and a true challenge to get the students to play their music cohesively.

Lessons are $25 for 30 minutes and $50 for an hour. I travel to students within a 25-mile radius.
