About Lauren
My curiosity about teaching began the summer after my freshman year of college while attending a free school in Bowling Green, Ohio. There I observed a diverse and engaged community in celebratory support of creative pedagogy and collaborative education. This formative experience has shaped the way I approach learning, pushing me to challenge my own methods in the classroom.
As we move into a new stage of learning for our children, and ourselves, I look forward to engaging your children in an exciting art curriculum online. My art practice is expansive and includes ceramics, sculpture, and drawing. I have experience teaching in private schools and after school programs for ages 5-18, as well as college classrooms.
My students will do more than make art, they will learn about art and in turn, learn about themselves. My goal is to foster autonomy and self-advocacy through art education.
