About Jeanie
I am a classlocally trained Mezzo-Soprano who has a degree in music focusing on vocal performance and has studied operatic singing in Vienna, Austria. I have been teaching since 2004 and have taught students as young as 3 and as old as 81. I teach students based on classical technique but work with many genres including Broadway, country, pop, rock, jazz and blues. I have had students continue on to become music majors and those who sing in bands and in theatre I have worked with students who have suffered vocal damage and had to rehabilitate their singing and speaking voices and students who suffer from anxiety disorders and aspergers syndrome. I perform locally and often sing on memory care units to those who suffer from dementia and Alzheimers disease. I teach in my home in Chambersburg, PA.
Degree in music with focus on Voice Performance, and minor in linguistics. A semester of study with IES in Vienna, Austria studying German and Opera.

I start with a half hour lesson. I assess the students needs for voice lessons by chatting briefly. I listen to their vocal range using vocalises. I then teach basics of posture, breathing and vocal production lesson by lesson. I charge $16 per half hour lesson and $32 per hour lesson. I recommend weekly lessons.
