About Eimear
I am a fiddle player and singer from County Clare, Ireland currently based in St. Louis, MO.
I have been teaching music for over ten years in Ireland and the US and I am a qualified Irish music instructor (TTCT) with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. I am also a qualified Irish dance teacher (TCRG) with An Comisiuin le Rinci Gaelacha.
I have been teaching at St. Louis Irish Arts since 2017 and I have given workshops at various festivals throughout the world including Catskills Irish Arts Week, New York; Viljandi Pärimusmuusika Festival, Estonia; St. Louis Tionól, St. Louis; Festival Interceltique de Lorient, France, Winnipeg Irish Fest, Canada and Canadian Celtic Celebration, Thunder Bay, Canada.
In 2013 and 2014, I worked as a grade school music teacher with TradTime and Music Generation in a number of schools throughout Cork City.
I have eleven solo All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil titles and I have toured extensively with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann on concert tours throughout Ireland, Britain, USA and Canada. I have also toured and performed with Cherish The Ladies, The Paul Brock Band, Trinity Irish Dance Ensemble and Téada.
I released my debut album, What’s Next? in June 2018 to great acclaim and I was recently awarded Newcomer of the Year 2019 by liveIRELAND.
