Hello and welcome! My name is Zani and I'm a singer/songwriter/performer with over 25 years of experience.

As a certified voice teacher, I'm passionate about helping

"non-singers" discover their singing voice. I equally love teaching amateur singers how to design and define their own unique sound. And as for the professional singer, I specialize in authenticity and stage presence, dealing with stage fright and set backs, and taking their confidence as a performer to the next level.

I've been singing and performing since the age of 5. It is my passion and my joy. I decided to become a trained, certified voice teacher to properly teach the art of singing to others as a means of self expression, for both professionals and hobbyists.

My lessons aren't only for those who already sing. I specialize in those who have little to no experiecne singing and help them develope a singing voice they can be proud of.

I'm a certified voice teacher through the New York Vocal Coaching and Teacher Training.

I'm a singer/songwriter/performer with over 30 years of expereienc wilth live performances, studio/session singing, and voiceovers.

About the lesson

My typical process is a first time, 30 minute consultation to see if we are a good match for your Voice Learning/Singing journey together. During this initial consultation you can ask me any and all questions that you have, I will access your current singing level and learing style, and we'll discuss your goals. Then I will make rcomendations on how to move forward with me as your voice teacher, and if it all feels good to you, you can book your lessons and begin as soon as you're ready.

I've mostly dedicated my time and talent with beginner voice students of all ages. I feel that I can give them a strong singing foundation, grounded in up-to-date pedagogy, vocal exploration and self expression. This provides a positive learning experience for the beginner singer, building confidence and the ability to identify their strengths and work through their challenges and develope a style/sound that is unique to them.

Always have a friendly heart to heart conversation with the teacher you are considering, before you commit. You should feel free and encouraged to ask all your questions and get solid answers before you hire a teacher. Learning is a very personal and sometimes vulnerable process and it's important that your teahcer understands your personal learning style. Both teacher and studnet must connect and be able to communicate effectively for the lessons to be successful.

You should feel encouraged and supported by the teacher; you should feel that the teacher is knowledgeable enough to get you to the next level of your learning experience.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Personally, I would want to know the teacher's own experience as a voice learner. What was their own process? What did they learn about their voice as a vocie student. Then, I would ask them about their teaching experience. Are they certified? In what method? What education or training have they received realting to teaching singing?

Just becasue a teacher is certified, doesn't mean they can teach successfully. Likewise, even if a teacher isn't certified it doesn't mean they aren't qualified or experienced enough to teach you.

It is also very important to let the teacher know of any learning challenges you may have (special needs, ASD, ADD...) This will help the teacher to prioritize your needs in balance with your goals.

It will ultimately come down to how well you connect with your voice teacher and if you feel motivated enough to dedicate the time and effort required to improve your singing.
