About Pat

PAT OATES is a comedian, writer, radio personality, and a national treasure. Pat is a lot of things, but the one thing he is the most is funny. Beating out 150 other comics, Pat became the 2015 Last Comix Standing winner proving that if there's one thing that he knows, it's comedy. His brutal honesty and animated storytelling make him stand out and leave audiences laughing.

Pat has released two albums, "Good Try (2018)" and "Birthday Like a Funeral (2019). He is the author of the Comedy guidebook "How Not To Suck at Comedy (2019).

Pat works with comedians of all levels from begginer to advanced to help them improve their act or learn the ins and outs of the stand up comedy world. If you hire Pat Oates, you'll have the ability to learn from the best.

Comedy is my passion. I enjoy making people laugh and the craft.

i have been doing Comedy for 12 years. i was the 2015 Last Comix Standing winner - beating out 150 other contestants. I have written a popular comedy guidebook entitled "How Not To Suck at Comedy," As well, i am a regular guest on many popular shows which include Chaz and AJ on 99.1, The Anthony Cumia Show, and also can be found weekly on 95.9 The Fox.

Are you getting frustrated with your current set? Do you feel like your jokes aren’t connecting with the audience the way you feel they should? Is the current clip of your act that you are sending out not getting you gigs? I can help. If you're new to the stand up comedy game, I am available for 1/2 hour or hour sessions where I can guide you in how to get your feet wet, improve, or to just answer any questions you haven't been able to find answers to.

Comedians from all over the country have also been utilizing my comedy coaching. Here’s how it works: You send me a clip of your act and I break down every single aspect of the clip. I give recommendations on editing, techniques, approaches and set structure along with examples on how to punch up the material, make it relate to all walks of life, adding inflection and body language to enhance the material, shaving off clutter words, brainstorming ideas to get the most out of a premise and much more. You get emailed in depth feedback of your act in 7 days from when the clip and payment were received.Better your act and unlock the potential in your material with my notes, feedback and suggestions. With my comedy coaching advice, you will be armed with the knowledge needed to make your act resonate with audiences like never before.

Clips can be anywhere from 5-20 minutes long.
