About Grace
My name is Grace Gilpatrick and I am a rising senior at University of Michigan, majoring in Trumpet Perfomance! I have been working with trumpet students for over 8 years and enjoying teaching students of all ages! At Michigan, I play in the University Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Band. I have extensive chamber music experience, including attending the Stockholm Chamber Brass Academy. My experience includes helping students begin playing the trumpet, guiding them through their studies in grade school, helping them prepare successfully for college auditions, and helping my adult student progress in their learning.
I love sharing knowledge about music through the trumpet!
I began teaching some local elementary students while I was in high school. There, I discovered my passion for teaching and helping others improve and learn about music.
I am currently a rising senior at University of Michigan, majoring in Trumpet Performance. I have a private studio during the school year of over 30 students ages 5th grade to adults.

I help keep my students on track by creating an individualized plan, specifically catered to each student. After assessing strengths and weaknesses of a new student, I select exercises and solo works that improve on skills and musicianship.
I have worked with students of all ages. The majority of my students are currently in middle or high school but I have experience with elementary students
I would tell students to look for someone that has diverse experience and structure to their teaching.
