About Mark

I take a personal approach to all my students addressing their needs and interests in becoming better trumpet players.

I love helping my students learn, grow and become excellent musicians.

Began teaching at Gordon College and the Newton and Concord School Systems in the mid 1990's. Have continued since with private students both in schools and finished with school.

Principal Trumpet for 13 years with Cape Ann Symphony.

Featured soloist with the Quincy Orchestra and Cape Ann Symphony.

Performances with the Corvallis and Eugene Symphonys.

Teaching experience at Atlantic Union College, Gordon College and Linn-Benton CC.

Also have experience and love teaching come-back players and young people 4th grade-12th.

About the lesson

I love to get to know my students and what gives them passion and interest in music. Articulating goals and dreams is a good way to structure lessons to work towards those goals.

A large range range over the years. My youngest students have started in 4th grade. I have had many students in middle and high school, college, pros, and some come-back players in their 70's who've rediscovered the joy of trumpet playing.
