About Beni
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Trumpet Performance from the Juilliard School in 2019 and I began a Masters Degree at McGill University which was cut short by Covid. Since graduating from Juilliard I've played with the South Florida Symphony, the Palm Beach Opera, Filmharmonique Orchestra in Montreal, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, the Manhattan Opera Studio Orchestra and several other esteemed ensembles all over the US and Canada.
I became passionate about teaching in 2015 when I started teaching pre-college Brass Quintets at Juilliard. I continued teaching at McGill in the form of daily warmup classes, weekly masterclass, and private lessons.
My favorite part of teaching is seeing the look in a students eyes when something clicks for the first time. It's those moments that motivate me in my teaching life as well as my performance life. As a student progresses on the instrument these moments become less and less frequent, but as a teacher I am able to witness the those beautiful eureka moments every day.
