About Kimble
Trumpet Lessons
Mindfulness Through Music infuses the arts and mental health nurturing into learning to play instruments and promotes the daily practice of these skill sets as a tool in the classroom. The students become further encouraged as they use these tools to become effective learners and reach their full potential. I have been an active performer for 20 plus years and a middle/high school band director for 13 plus years. I have the following degrees: a Masters in Music Education and a Masters in School Counseling. I have been recognized by the Mississippi Jazz Foundation as an honoree, I have been commissioned to perform The Louis Armstrong Tribute for Opera Mississippi and The Natchez Festival Of Music.
I am listed on Facebook as Kimble Funchess Music, on LinkedIn as Mindfulness Through Music, (concealed information) on Instagram as @lefunch1 and my new Youtube as Kimble Funchess.
Master In Music Education(M.M.E.) Master of Education in School Counseling; 20 plus years as an active professional musician and 13 plus years as a middle/high school band director(music educator).

We start off by making a good introduction by understanding who the student is and what they want to accomplish. At that point, we will develop a daily practice routine as a starting point and foundation. We will also introduce the conversation about how focus, paying attention to details, being relaxed and mindful will help in learning to play the instrument and how it is of value in other settings.
