About Simon

My name is Simon Podd and I come from a family full of musicions. My mother raised me listening to a lot of Reggae and gratfull dead. From ages 2 and up I had almost evry single Greatfull dead, Bob Marley, Barriongton Leavy and many more jam bands and Reggae artists. My Dad has also been in a band my whole life. He plays alot of "real" coumtry and Bluegrass. Along with greatfull dead and Jerry Garcia Band. My dads brothers (my uncles) both went to collage to be musicians. My first uncle went to school to become a composer/arranger. He regularly aranges peices for the New York syphony Pops and other very well known Orchestras and large bands.The other unbcel went to school for sound desighn at The Heart School of Music. He partakes In many similar jobs that my Other uncle does sutch as playing at churches, Brodways, and evenn the well know Carnegie Hall several times. They have taught me Most of what I know and what I can Pass on to you. If you would like to listen to my uncles band you cand find it here ((concealed information) They play 30s and 40s jazz. I have spent alot of time with the band and learned many things along the way such as music theroy and other technicalities in the music industry. I have also played with the band several times. I am great with Children too, I teach skateboarding in the summer with an Orginization called Talent Skatepark. They are a indoor skatepark in Burlington Vermont. I think choosing me Is a great option Because I have lots experience and Know what it was like being young and growing up playing music so I am great with kids as well.

I always like to pass on the Knowlage that I have learned throughout the my years of experience. and I love wprking with kids and seeing them learn.

I got started teaching skateboarding and I kinda just realized one day that I could also Teach Ukulele

I have played with several bands and been around music my whole lifee.

About the lesson

I always like to get to know my students before I Work with them. I like to listen to some of the songs that they like and help them lear those songs as well as teach some fundemetal songs and classics. I usually have them keep a notebook and planner to keep track of practice. I am also open to other ways of learning.

I have only really worked with Children and elderly.

Look for somone that is your style. Make sure they are suting to your needs and style of music. NOT ALL MUSIC TEACHERS ARE THE SAME!!!!!
