About Adam
Physics, Maths, Machine Learning and Languages tutor with a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from Dublin City University and a First Class Honours degree in Theoretical Physics from University College Dublin. Over the past 13 years I've helped students at secondary and undergraduate level build genuine understanding rather than rely on memorisation — and I've seen first-hand how much of a difference that makes when exam time comes around.
Alongside private tutoring, I've worked as an Assistant Professor and Teaching Assistant at Dublin City University, designing and delivering university courses and supporting students through their coursework. My research has been published in peer-reviewed international journals, and I have represented Ireland internationally in science communication.
I am fluent in French, Spanish, and Portuguese, comfortable working with international students and can often find alternative ways of explaining a concept when the first one doesn't land. Whatever level you're starting from, my goal is the same: build real confidence in the subject, not just a script for the next test.

I've spent the last 13 years helping students discover that Physics and Mathematics aren't as scary as they first appear—in fact, they can be genuinely fascinating once the right connections are made.
I tutor Maths, Physics, Programming, Machine Learning, and related quantitative subjects at undergraduate level and Physics, Maths, and Languages at A-Level. I work with students of all abilities — from those who feel "behind" and need confidence rebuilt, to high-achievers aiming for top grades or scholarships.
Lessons are built around each student's specific gaps: I diagnose where understanding breaks down, then work through worked examples and past-paper questions until the concept clicks.
A typical lesson runs 60–90 minutes, mixing explanation with hands-on problem-solving, and I adjust pace and depth to your needs.
What sets my approach apart is that I genuinely believe every student can excel in STEM subjects—it's just about finding the right angle of explanation. I don't believe in rote memorisation; I believe in understanding the "why" behind formulas and concepts. When a student understands why something works, they can apply it to any problem, not just the ones they've memorised.
