About Daren
After more than 20 years of performing professionally and teaching private students I'm a seasoned conservatory Eastman School of Music professional skilled at identifying and enhancing the best qualities in each individual student and addressing technical and musical challenges through technique studies and challenging yet appropriate repertoire. I'll help each student move quickly yet comprehensively from one level to the next with efficiency.
I was asked to take over a studio of 40 students before graduating form my master and have taught every year since. I thoroughy enjoy teaching students of every age and ability alongside my management and performing careers.

I like to speak with the student or parent over the phone first to get a sense of the abilities and reasons for interest in private study. I also like to understand what they wish to accomplish with private study. I propose a curriculum of musical, technique and scale studies.
