About Danielle

As a young and energetic music instructor who also is strict with fundamentals, I consider my teaching to be the best of both worlds! Not only will you/your student be able to play with correct technique and music literacy, they will have fun doing it! I always make sure we are working on a piece of my choosing AND a piece of the student's choosing so everyone is happy and willing to practice!

I have been playing the violin since I was five years old, and picked up viola when I was thirteen. Music brings me such joy and I love to see that joy in others. I especially love when a student has that "AHA" moment, when they are finally able to play a difficult passage or everything falls into place when it comes to reading music.

About the lesson

The first lesson is usually me getting to know the student's playing. Identifying fundamental issues, assessing their current skill level and deciding how best to move forward with their progress. I don't like to change multiple fundamental skills at once, because that shuts a student down. I like to adjust/improve their playing one step at a time. It works best for everyone this way!
