About Martina
Welcome! I played basketball for 11 years and Volleyball for almost 15 years now. Although I intend to focus on Volleyball training, I am open for both ! I played JV then Varsity Volleyball and was Team Captain for a year.
Although I don’t have experience with a team of my own- I have helped and trained my younger family members (in vball) who went on to play for travel teams. As a teenager, I occasionally assisted my younger cousins coach for her volleyball team… I have experience with youth as I have been a 1st grade religion teacher, for my community and having a niece and nephews helped to gain my patience and care for children.
What drove me to sign up for this website was my love for Volleyball. I currently go to open-play games and will forever have love for this sport and I would be grateful to share the love by teaching the younger generations the skills and joy of playing. One thing I always appreciated from playing sports as a kid was the results of my motivation and hard work. This helped me build my confidence on and off the court. It showed through my years that sports demonstrates an early sense of responsibility. And I appreciated the sense of belonging when being on the court with my team. I, of course want my future trainees to learn various skills tactics on how to be a better player but I mostly want them to use the skills they learn on the court, and use them in real life. Being a good sport, you have to learn to let things roll off your back when they don’t go your way… you simply get up and try again. I simply wish that my clients have fun with learning and growing in their sport and can become more confident overall!
I believe that I can encourage students to be their best and authentic self whilst getting better in the sport we share an appreciation for!

Martina worked with my niece while training for her club volleyball team. Blake loves Martina and still asks to play volleyball with her till this day. I would highly recommend working with her!
