About Austen

Hello there! I’m a Chinese, Chemistry and Math enthusiast, and teaching has always been my passion, not just a job. My goal is to help every student excel in their studies and build confidence in these subjects. I’m always happy to offer extra help free of charge because I believe that with the right guidance and support, anyone — no matter their background — can achieve academic success. I strive to be a patient, understanding, and dedicated tutor who gives my very best to every student.

About the lesson

I focus on building strong conceptual understanding by breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable explanations. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s pace and learning style. I use exam-based practice questions, real-world examples, and step-by-step problem-solving techniques to reinforce key concepts. I also provide free extra help outside of lessons whenever students need it.

Each lesson typically lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the topic and the student’s needs.

I achieved Higher 3 Chemistry in school with yearly awards for Chemistry excellence. In Mathematics, I consistently scored A grades and participated in the Shanghai TI Mathematics Competition. I have experience tutoring students from various academic backgrounds and helping them improve their results significantly within a short period.

My lessons are for Secondary School, Junior College (JC), and Grade 8-12 students, including those taking AP courses in Chemistry and Mathematics. I welcome students of all abilities who are eager to improve their understanding and performance in these subjects.
