About Carla
i've been studying yoga for over 20 years, and teaching for 15 years. I teach yoga from a somatic perspective which includes developmental principles and experiential anatomy to help guide students deeper into their embodied experience so that they can move with more ease and complexity. Sessions include breath work, hands on adjustments , specific movement patterns to help open and prepare the body and yoga poses when necessary for a dynamic practice tailored to each individual.
I also teach classes and workshops and serve on the faculty of both 200 & 300 hour teacher training programs.
I have a 500 hour teacher training certificate and extended traing certificates in anatomy and developmental movement from The School of Body Mind Centering.
I love interacting with others who have a shared interest in movement and yoga, and the ability to heal through cultivating a concsious relationship with our bodies. On a more practical level, I love connecting with others and offering up tools and feedback to help people address body pain and discomfort.
